Sport in India is like a dumb lion ,which promises to gulp the world with its size and (man)power,but the irony is that the 'LION IS NOT ROARING'.we Indians are one-dimensional thinkers we only follow and build them(football,hockey,badminton.....)and it is only worsening as the day passes,the recent simultaneous success for cricket(t20 world cup),hockey(asia cup) and football(nehru cup) has no doubt done the nation proud,but it is only a tide in the river with the country going ’gaa-gaa’ over the criketeers drowning them in millions ,not realising the importance of victories in hockey and football the administrators virtually gave nothing .
This shows that we are still not ready to accept other sports even though they show glimpses of brilliance more frequently than cricket
